Sarah Jane Sandy, CNT Certified Nutrition Therapist, Registered Yoga Teacher At Janey Appleseed Nutrition, we work with a multitude of clients regarding how to optimize fertility for both men and women, the importance of preconception care, how to treat various hormone imbalances (such as PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids, etc), and the essentials of pregnancy and postpartum nutrition. We work closely with several of the top-rated fertility doctors in the Rocky Mountain region. We advise both couples that are experiencing difficulty conceiving, as well as those who are interested in conscious conception and optimizing their own health in order to improve pregnancy success and the lifelong health of their baby, what we call ‘genetic momentum’. Natural Instinct Nutrition was co-founded with her husband Justin Sandy, a retired NFL player. At NIN, we work with current elite athletes, retired professional athletes, executive athletes, and everyone in between. We teach these athletes why high quality nutrition is the missing piece in their training. We educate them about how to utilize nutrition to optimize and achieve peak performance, prevent and recover from injuries, and how to properly fuel for maximum benefits. Sarah provides instruction, guidance and support using the principles of nutrition therapy, a system of healing based on the belief that food, as nature intended, provides the medicine we need to obtain and maintain a state of health. Sarah is a Master’s graduate of the Nutrition Therapy Institute in Denver, CO and is a member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals. Her dedication to nutrition and health stem from personal experience and observation of the incredible healing properties of quality food, movement, sleep, combined with the removal of toxins and management of daily stress and emotional balance. Sarah’s approach to nutrition therapy is comprehensive, therapeutic and restorative. She is passionate about using food as therapy; to heal, to transform, to change, and to nourish. She emphasizes the importance of eating whole, real, pastured, wild caught, traditional, nutrient-dense, properly prepared foods, and believes these are the keys to unlocking one’s most vibrant self. In her clinical experience, she has witnessed the dramatic benefits of implementing simple dietary and lifestyle changes time and time again: stable blood sugar, weight loss, reduced inflammation, fertility enhancement, improved blood lipids, balanced energy levels, improved sleep patterns, reduced allergies, more efficient workouts, and much more. Her professional experience has provided her satisfaction working one-on-one with clients, creating personalized nutrition and lifestyle programs, and educating individuals on the importance of treating the whole person. Using an integrative, holistic approach to nutrition therapy and by thoroughly understanding a variety of views and scientific research regarding different aspects of nutrition, Sarah is able to provide a well rounded nutrition and lifestyle program that is unique to each individual.
