Denver’s Dynamic Art Scene—It’s Gonna Be a Hot Summer, Check It Out!

Denver has proudly added amazing designing showcases for art to the Mile High City skyline.

Kirkland Museum

For quite a few years now, Denver has witnessed a big boom in artistic buildings: in 2006, the Denver Art Museum, designed by Daniel Liebeskind; in 2011, the Clyfford Stil Museum designed by Brad Cloepfil; and just announced, the new Kirkland Museum designed by Olson Kundig Architectsto be completed by 2016.

Beyond the city-sponsored building scene, there’s a whole other layer of new, exciting architecturesome very contemporary and smart-looking art galleries. It is a worth a trip to check them out.

…Plus Gallery: Found in the famous RiNo district, designed by local superstar architect Steve Chucovich. Historic remnants meet metal panels in a sweeping grid pattern. …Space Gallery: This redone gallery re-opened early this year with 8700 square feet of exhibit space. A pre-engineered steel structure (came in a kit) that was elaborated upon by architect Owen Beard.
