How do I get my calves to grow?
This is a rock solid routine, certain to give you those Conan the Barbarian calves that every guy wanted in the 80s.
Walking lunge with calf raise/seated calf raise
Walking lunge with calf raise
- 1st set / 10 reps per calf
- 2nd set / 15 reps per calf (with dumbbell weight that challenges you)
- 3rd set / 20 reps per calf (with dumbbell weight that challenges you)
Seated calf raises
- 1st set / 15 reps (pick a weight that will challenge you)
- 2nd set / 15 reps (go up 25 lbs)
- 3rd set / 15 reps (go up 45 lbs)
2 min spin bike sprint
Standing barbell calf raise
- 1st set / 15 reps (pick a weight that challenges you)
- 2nd set / 15 reps (go up 10 lbs)
- 3rd set / 15 reps (go up 20 lbs)
2 min jump rope
Stair calf raise progression
10 steps
- Step 1 / 5 reps
- Step 2 / 10 reps
- Step 3 / 15 reps
And so on until
- Step 10 / 50 reps
Finish with 5 stair sprints
