Not for those wanting to go super lean! This is a more hearty, sort of “reward” yourself kind of dish. It’s Grandma’s recipe with an organic twist! But don’t let that fool you—it still has all the yumminess that Grandma intended; it’s only now a little bit better for you. From Deb’s family table to yours. Bon appetit!
Chicken Divan
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of fresh organic broccoli
- 2 cups sliced cooked organic chicken
- 2 cans Cream of Chicken soup
- 3/4 cut organic mayonnaise
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. curry powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
How to make:
Steam broccoli and arrange in casserole dish. Add chicken pieces on top of the broccoli. Combine the Cream of Chicken soup, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and curry powder in a separate bowl and pour over the chicken and broccoli. Sprinkle grated cheese and top with Italian bread crumbs.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
Sometimes I cook rice ahead of time and place it on the bottom of the dish. It adds a nice texture. This dish is also great when paired with corn bread!
Yummmm!
