Working Together to Hit the Mark

martin.alvarezThe Modern Gladiator concept continues to forge ahead in momentum and popularity as a result of our ever-growing and diverse readership base. We are honored to be in a position to help men unlock their greatest potentials in life and soar to reach new heights and claim new victories and battles in the arena of life.

As a result of these accomplishments, we are constantly striving to bring to our readers creative and informative content that will help them to reach their goals. As part of this endeavor, we are adding to our ranks new writers and contributors who will assist in developing these objectives. We invite you to follow along with some of our new writers, some of whom are Thomas Maloney, Jennifer Trimmier, Becky Creighton, William Davis, Audrey Strong, Tasneem Yusuf, and Chris Howlett. They will be writing on an array of different subject matters, each unique to their own fields of expertise, ranging from dealing with the challenges of being a dad in this modern world to how to be a successful leader and entrepreneur, touching on topics with more levity such as how to make an amazing bourbon cocktail (from “Bourbon Girl”) to tips from our wine sommelier.

An additional component to our initiative to bring subject matters that are of true concern to our readers is the feedback that we encourage and receive from those reading Modern Gladiator magazine. One such feedback that has been recurring since our inception is the question, Will Modern Gladiator devise more content for women?

We appreciate that women are a tremendous support to the men striving to be modern day gladiators. Without the support from their female counterparts, men would have a far more difficult hill to climb. On behalf of Modern Gladiator, we sincerely appreciate all of the hard work, encouragement, love, patience, and sacrifice that women all over the globe have made in effort to support their men and help build up their households and communities.

Women truly are strong, committed, intelligent yet nurturing and compassionate individuals who serve as an amazing example that we all do well to learn from and emulate. For this reason, MG magazine is proud to present our new feature article titled “Introducing: The Gladiatrix.” This article features the importance of men and women, regardless of their relationships, working together and being supportive of one another in all facets of life. Intitally, we will be approaching this topic from a health and fitness standpoint, but the reality is that the lessons learned can be used in just about any situation in life that we can embark upon as mates and companions.

The article was put together by Jennifer Trimmier, who serves as an inspiration in the world of fitness and personal development as a personal trainer and health/fitness consultant. The photo shoot featured in this article was a collaborative effort by a group of women in the San Antonio area, led by another strong willed supporter—our very own writer and health/fitness expert, Dominique Palser. She was joined by Yvonne Stroud, Chelsea Jones (photographer), and several notable women in the San Antonio cross fit community.

These women truly are gladiatrices!

It is my sincere desire that our readers will enjoy this new development in MG magazine as we continue to embrace women into our movement, because their support and fine examples are invaluable. These stories of inspiration and triumph of women and the good they are accomplishing will be featured in the section “The Women of MG.” Look for their stories and be inspired!

As always, we appreciate any and all feedback, and if you know of someone who fits the meaning of a gladiatrix, we invite you to share their story that we may feature them as a “Woman of MG.”

Look also for the courageous story of athlete and cancer survivor Denise Peters and the inspirational video of Melissa Little, highlighting her passion and drive to be a champion.
